Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Gegham Gharibjanian met with His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi

On 23rd June 2016, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Gegham Gharibjanian met with His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, member of the Federal Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

During the meeting Ambassador Gharibjanian conveyed the greetings of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II and the Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan. He then informed Sheikh Al Qasimi that on June 24, His Holiness Pope Francis will be arriving in Armenia for a pilgrimage visit.

Expressing gratitude for the good wishes, Sheikh Al Qasimi said that he always follows the developments in the region, noting that he is aware about the good state of the Haghartsin Monastery (renovated through the generosity of His Highness).

Referring to the development of trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and the Emirate of Sharjah, Sheikh Al Qasimi reiterated the agreement reached with Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan for the establishment of the Armenian Trade Center in Sharjah.
